WHAT NOW?

Good morning! I have an exercise here that is one of importance for those serious about reaching their goals.

Are you the type of person to make resolutions? Once you make them, do you have a plan to reach your end goal?

If so, great! I am excited you want to create a better life for yourself. So what now? How are you going to start?

Let’s take the example of someone who made the resolution to start a journal for the year of their daily activities. What now? Well, first they will need to decide if they are going to handwrite or type the journal entries.

How about someone who makes the resolution to do a triathlon this year after training for the last two years? What now? Well, first they need to decide what triathlon they want to do.

A school teacher is going to start a new grading system for her class. She decides to base it on correct spelling and grammar usage. What now? Well, now that she knows what she wants to do, she must come up with a point system for spelling and a point system for grammar usage.

Just like in the morning, you have stretches I gave you or you found that work for you from searching YouTube or Google, etc. Now you start each morning in bed doing stretches then you move to the standing stretches. These stretches can now be marked off your daily routine and you can now move on to the next thing you do in the mornings. Do you see the steps here?

Take your resolution if you made one, if not then create a goal you want to reach by the end of the year or a certain date and once you have that written down on the top of your page, below it write “What now?”

This is where you are going to brainstorm and write down steps to reach your goal and once you have the steps, organize them and mark them off as you go. When I do this, I use a planner and put my goals on that and check them off as I reach them. Remember these are steps, not jumps. One step at a time, one foot in front of the other, baby steps to success!

Good luck! You got this!
