Achieve Goals

Achieve goals. How does this boost one's self-confidence?

Let me share my business story with you. While I was in college online back in 2012, I had a course on Entrepreneurship. We were assigned to create a fake business, build it up from the ground and share each step along the way to being a success.

I actually did the assignment and got an A on it. I thought to myself, why not make it real? Along with my daughter and friends, I came up with a business plan for a cleaning service. My friends helped with finding the name and my daughter helped me run it out of my home. She was the business manager and as the business grew so did her duties. She adapted quickly and was so proud to be part of the daily routine.

We both did the work and hired as we needed for bigger projects. She did the training, helped with banking deposits, scheduling clients, and marketing. Between both of us dividing up the daily tasks between us, our business started growing rapidly and we loved it!

So I would have to say in achieving goals is taking steps, one by one. I do this even today with my blog, my podcast, and my Etsy shop as well as, my full-time job! Steps. Start at the beginning and work your way to the main goal.

Let’s set a goal for tomorrow. We are going to say “Hi” to someone we don’t know and smile at the same time. Simple? For some as they most likely do this automatically. Others may find it difficult looking someone in the eyes, smiling, and saying “hi”. What steps are you going to take to do this one simple task?

I want you to write down in your journal after doing this exercise how this task made you feel inside. Did it create happiness? Did you feel good afterward? Was it easy or difficult for you? It is okay if it was difficult for you because you are experiencing something new to yourself. Write it all down.

Good luck!
